Introduction
Comparing numbers is how we decide which number is larger, smaller, or if they’re equal. This lesson will teach students how to use symbols like > (greater than), < (less than), and = (equal to) to compare numbers with confidence.

Understanding Symbols
Greater Than (>):
A number is greater than another when it is larger.
Example: 5 > 3 (5 is greater than 3).
Less Than (<):
A number is less than another when it is smaller.
Example: 2 < 4 (2 is less than 4).
Equal To (=):
Two numbers are equal when they are the same.
Example: 7 = 7 (both are equal).
